Spring Rail Fest Returns to Southern California
You're invited to a family celebration of Southern California's railway heritage on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris. The annual Spring Rail Festival will offer families and rail enthusiasts plenty to do and see at the 90-acre railway park in the heart of Southern California.
Ride trolleys all day and a live steam train. Get behind the throttle of a railroad locomotive under an instructor's supervision. Enjoy live bluegrass music, food vendors, special train exhibits and a paint along for kids.
The Spring Rail Festival runs from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. at Orange Empire Railway Museum, 2201 South A Street, Perris. Train rides start Saturday at 11 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. Ticket prices: Ages 12 and up, $15; ages five to 11, $10; and ages 4 and under are free. Operating a real locomotive is $20 extra.
