Joining the Orange Empire Railway Museum is a commitment to the future. You are participating in the preservation of rail transportation history and in the future growth and development of Southern California's railway museum.
Joining has its benefits! Not only will you be helping to preserve the irreplaceable artifacts of the railroads that built Southern California and the West, you&apsll also enjoy a number of benefits and special opportunities!
Membership Benefits
All members receive the Museum's illustrated monthly newsletter, the Railway Museum Gazette, which will keep you informed about the plans, progress, and preservation activities of the Museum. You&apsll read about the colorful histories of selected artifacts, the latest volunteer activities and plans, and you&apsll be the first to know when new developments are on the Museum's horizon.
You&apsll also be able to visit the Museum and ride on the demonstration railway free throughout the year (certain capacity-limited events such as Pumpkin Trains, March Field Trains, and Thomas the Tank Engine excepted). And you&apsll be invited to special events, such as members-only dinners, gatherings, and exhibit openings.
Personal Memberships:
Personal members have the opportunity to train to operate rail vehicles on the Museum Railway, and can vote in the yearly Director's elections. In addition to the Gazette, free rides*, and member's-only events, benefits also include a 10% discount on books and videos (children's items not included).
Individual Member: $40 per year, individuals 18 and older, includes all benefits listed above.
Family Membership: $60 per year, includes individual membership benefits plus the annual pass covers a second adult and children under 18 who live in the same household.
Sustaining Member: $100 per year, includes all family membership benefits plus five one-time Museum passes to give out to friends.
Benefactor Member: $250 per year, includes all family membership benefits, plus ten one-time Museum passes to give out to friends.
Life Member: One-time $800 payment, includes all individual member benefits for your lifetime.
Associate Membership:
Associate: $30 per year, individuals 18 or older. Same benefits as Individual Member, except Associates are not eligible to operate rail vehicles or vote in yearly elections.
* Certain capacity-limited special events are not included

Volunteers do just about all of the jobs that keep OERM functioning. They restore, maintain and operate the Museum's cars and locomotives. They help Museum visitors, conduct research and promote the Museum. They build and maintain track, and take care of the many buildings on the site.
